Mo Leverett the founder and former director of Desire Street Ministries for 17 years. Mo was chosen to execute the boards vision because of his vast amount of experience in urban faith based community development. He has pastored various churches and founded other businesses and ministries. For his services he has been recognized by many political leaders and organizations. Mo has his Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
Chairman of the Board, Javon is a successful business leader that provides vision and direction. Javon’s main role is to finalize all programs and partner relationships in conjunction with board approval. In addition, Javon’s role is to cultivate a turnkey vision and community development model that can be adapted and implemented into cities across the country. Javon studied at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Mr. Levy is a successful business owner that will help direct key decisions. Mr. Levy brings more than a decade of youth program development experience to SURGE. Mr. Levy has worked with and developed programs for Desire Street Ministries, Angel Tree, Desoto Food Pantry where he has implemented programs that have aided homeless youth. Mr. Levy will also play a key role in directing youth sports programs. Mr. Levy studied at Santa Monica College, in Southern California.
Former DSM and Desire Street Academy Business Manager and Athletic Director Mr. Jacob brings a wealth of knowledge to the board of SURGE. He has owned several businesses and served in a variety of ministry organizations. Mr. Jacob serves SURGE as a business consultant and Treasurer. Greg achieved his bachelor’s degree from Ashford University.
An accomplished entrepreneur in the areas of real estate, trucking and music industries. Don’s role is to transfer knowledge to interns regarding areas mentioned including, credit repair and credit building, along with corporate and community development as well as asset management.
